Structure name:
System for the high-tech industry
Location, country:
Shanghai, China
Product:
Pressure-relief damperDRK-1001-Gb-Di-h
Structure description:
Sometimes our products travel around the world. One of our recurring deliveries even made it to China, which is about 14,000 km away, because we had the opportunity to manufacture 200 pressure-relief dampers for a company in Shanghai. The LUCOMA dampers developed and built for Shanghai are equipped with a lever with several drill holes to enable adjusting the trigger pressure as you please.
Special features:
The pressure-relief dampers are used in different areas, which makes it important that they can open at different pressures. This is why the dampers can be adjusted within a range from 1600Pa to 3500Pa.
Structure name:
UW Herti
Location, country:
Baar, Switzerland
Product:
Weather-proof louvres WSG-75/50-Al-F-spec
Pressure-relief dampers DRK-1001-G-h-Di-KL
Control dampers RGK-5001-Gg-Di-MS2
Structure description:
The construction of the new Herti substation lasted from July 2013 to the summer/autumn of 2015. The old substation was integrated in the new indoor facility to make operational safety less reliant on the effects of weather. The investment volume amounts to around 25 million Swiss francs. The powder-coated weather-proof louvres from Lucoma are a major contribution to the attractive appearance of the building.
Special features:
66 weather-proof louvres in special design with powder coating, 6 pressure-relief dampers and 28 control dampers.
Structure name:
Special radio telescope transporters
Location, country:
Atacama Desert, Chile
Product:
Back-draught damper RSK-1003-G-h-Bb-spec
Structure description:
The “Otto” and “Lore” antenna transporters from SCHEUERLE are two special transporters which were used to transport radio telescopes to the Atacama Desert in Chile. The transporters are equipped with special Lucoma dampers.
The Atacama Large Millimetre/Submillimetre Array (ALMA) is the largest radio telescope in the world. Costing over one billion US dollars it is currently the most expensive and largest project in ground-based astronomy.
Special features:
Back-draught control damper, with customised locking mechanism.
Structure name:
SBB Diameter Line
Location, country:
Zurich, Switzerland
Product:
Pressure-relief dampers DRK-1061-G-Di-h-KL
Structure description:
The Zurich Diameter Line is one of the largest building structures in the Swiss railway system. The double track Weinberg Tunnel between Zurich main station and Oerlikon is 4.8 kilometres long and has a diameter of over 11 metres. The total costs for the Diameter Line amount to two billion Swiss francs. Lucoma pressure-relief dampers made of stainless steel are used to meet increased requirements on the Diameter Line.
Special features:
Pressure-relief dampers completely made of stainless steel 1.4301 / 1.4307, with additional empty frames.
Structure name:
Chemistry Building, University of Giessen
Location, country:
Giessen, Germany
Product:
Pressure-relief dampers DRK-1001-G-h-DI-MS1-BL
Structure description:
The new research and teaching building of the Chemistry Faculty at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen offers forward-looking laboratory landscapes, up-to-date technology and provides facilities for interdisciplinary research. A modern setting for chemical experiments and laboratory work was created in the new chemistry building. Construction costs amounted to about 106 million Euros. Lucoma acted as subcontractor supplying pressure-relief dampers for the new building.
Special features:
Large-format pressure-relief dampers with centre bar for horizontal air flow.
