    On order from the company Drews Klimatechnik of Hamburg, we manufactured eight horizontal protective gratings in various sizes, all of which are made from powder-coated stainless steel including anti-freeze heating, for the form-fit installation in the beautiful Upstalsboom Wyk Hotel on Föhr island.

    Special features:
    8 horizontal gratings with trace heating as anti-freeze protection For reasons of optics, the gratings were powder-coated in the colour requested by the customer.

    Structure description:
    We had the chance to contribute to the restauration and modernisation of this beautiful, historic building which was converted into a new multi-grain whisky distillery in County Kildare.

    For this, we used 9 powder-coated pitched-roof gratings for low-pitched roofs, 5 powder-coated pitched-roof gratings for steep-pitched roofs, and 5 horizontal gratings for installation in a pitched roof. The different grating types were necessary because each roof area has different pitch angles due to the roof design.

    A perforated metal sheet of Corten steel was mounted in front of the gratings as a design element.

    Structure description:
    We were contracted by Bühler AG to produce 11 protective gratings with rear-sided assembly lugs for concealed assembly – plus equipment with sealing tape for simple installation on the facade – and 2 manual adjustment flaps with mounting claws for wall mounting – form-fit to dimension and customised to the needs of the end customer on the sun-flooded continent.

    Special features:
    11 protective gratings made from aluminium with easy-to-demount flyscreens for easy cleaning. The mash grid is mounted on an additional frame and can be taken off at any time using the star handles.

    Structure description:
    Football and administration are growing together under one roof on almost 50,000 m2 in a new building of the German Football Association in Frankfurt. For the largest investment in the history of the DFB, we were able to support with Swiss quality made to measure.

    Nine horizontal, custom-made LUCOMA weather-proof louvres were installed on the roof of this unique new building. The combination of functionality and appearance was the deciding factor here.

    Special features:
    In addition, however, the louvres were to blend in architecturally in order to create a homogeneous image. The powder coating of the louvres was therefore additionally adapted to the colour scheme of the roof.

    Autumn 2010 saw the start of the most expensive renovation project in the history of the State Opera. The Federal Republic of Germany participated in the general renovation to the tune of €200 million. Architect HG Merz was awarded the contract to renovate the historical monument. Structural defects were refurbished in compliance with monument conservation requirements and the totally outdated building facilities were brought up-to-date in line with modern safety standards. Improvements also included accessibility for handicapped persons, air conditioning and fire protection.

    The Excelsior is an impressive and luxurious chalet-style apartment residence not far from the centre of Crans-Montana. The apartments facing south have a breathtaking view over the golf course and the Walliser mountains. Lucoma AG supplied special weather-proof louvres for ventilation and smoke extraction from the parking garage.

    Structure description:
    ASTRA, the Federal Roads Office, modernised the Simmenfluh Tunnel as part of its «Tunnel Safety» project. The 700 metre long Simmenfluh Tunnel was completed in 2003 and is located along the A6 Swiss autobahn (motorway). A 130 metre long escape gallery was built to meet the stricter standards for escape distances. The construction work costs roughly 6.6 million Swiss francs. Several ventilation louvres in special design from Lucoma are installed in the escape gallery.

    Structure description:
    The La Matze project comprises three buildings in the middle of the town of Sion. The complex fulfils a variety of purposes. The ground floor is used as business and services premises whereas the upper stories provide space for a hundred and twenty flats from 2.5 to 4.5 rooms. The Matze Project was awarded the Minergie label. Lucoma supplied 37 horizontal weather-proof louvres for this project.

    Structure description:
    The construction of the new Herti substation lasted from July 2013 to the summer/autumn of 2015. The old substation was integrated in the new indoor facility to make operational safety less reliant on the effects of weather.  The investment volume amounts to around 25 million Swiss francs. The powder-coated weather-proof louvres from Lucoma are a major contribution to the attractive appearance of the building.
